It's been a few months since we started formal sales of our BioGreenPC brand. An Environmentally Friendly High performance computer. We would like to pass along the posting after an interview we had from BizFi.com which we are pasting below:
"...Bizfi Gives Green Tech Entrepreneurs A Boost
In just two years, suburban Chicago entrepreneurs Miguel and Clementina Jimenez have built a strong roster of corporate, medical, manufacturing and academic clients for their technology services company, iEple.com. They’ve also developed a strong sense of how businesses are losing time, money and productivity because of their computer setups, and they’re out to change that.
Based in Naperville, Ill. just west of Chicago, iEple (“eeple) has developed what it calls the BioGreenPC, a fist-sized device that can replace the bulky tower of a desktop computer. It boots up faster than conventional PCs and, perhaps better still, uses 80 percent less electricity. “In the three to five years that companies keep computers, 50 percent of BioGreen‘s price is paid for in the energy savings,” says Miguel Jimenez.
Miguel, now 35, developed his passion for computers as a child. “I wanted a Nintendo for my sixth birthday but my dad said you have to learn to use a computer before I will get it for you,” he recalls. “He had one of the early Apples; you had to boot it with a floppy drive. I would go to his office on the weekend to learn all the ins and outs. I ended up liking it, and by the time I learned how to use it I didn’t want a Nintendo anymore.” Later when he was in high school, he was fixing computers as well as building office networks.
Miguel, who was born in America and raised in Mexico, eventually got a law degree and practiced in Mexico. But he found himself called back to the world of computers in 2010 after he got a computer science degree from the College of DuPage in the Chicago suburbs. Clementina Jimenez, also America-born and Mexico-raised, has a bachelors in management from Purdue and 10 years of experience in corporate and hospitality management. Together, they created a company to provide tech services to small- and medium-sized companies with strong proactive approach.
When some of our clients wanted to upgrade their computers, we discovered that no major brand satisfied all of their needs in terms of budget and performance,” Miguel says. So iEple built a machine that could. Instead of the 4 gigs of RAM memory on standard computers, iEple’s first generation BioGreenPC shipped with 8 and used solid-state drives so that its patent-pending computers boot in 10 seconds, instead of 10 minutes, every time.
The BioGreenPC’s biggest plus may be its energy profile. The average PC uses 80 to 100 watts of electricity per hour, which means that it takes about 1,100 tons of coal every day to power Chicago’s 1 million business computers. BioGreenPCs use only 10 to 30 watts of electricity per hour. The Jimenez’ expect to have their next generation of BioGreenPC computers certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star program, which would enable buyers to get a tax break for purchasing the machines.
The Jimenez’ came to Bizfi this year for funding to produce demonstration models of their next generation BioGreenPC, which will ship with 16GB of RAM and 240GB solid state drive “It is hard for people to believe that this little box can replace their whole computer so we know they need to try the real thing to spark interest. That requires a heavy investment but it’s an effective sales method” Miguel says. They shipped BioGreenPC samples to local universities and manufacturing companies, and one of their test sites has already committed an initial order for 70 of them. There will be a Kickstarter campaign in early fall aimed at eco-conscious businesses and consumers to help the company reach its next milestone: 500 units a month.
The Jimenez’ are thankful for Bizfi’s help towards that goal. “Bizfi’s representatives were very persistent and very helpful,” Clementina says. “The whole funding process only took about three days.”
“Bizfi was a really good experience,” Miguel adds. “For a fairly new company like iEple it was important to have a big company believe in us.”

In theory yes; spam filters are constantly looking for signs of phishing at the binary and heuristic level, however a good percentage of messages can still go through.

So here are our quick 4 things you and your employees should be trained to watch on every single email that comes across:
1. ALWAYS check full details of the sender:
The example above shows "Paypal" on the list of senders; just click on the details of the sender to reveal the real email address. In the example you can see it's not coming from Paypal at all.
2. DONT CLICK ON LINKS before you verify them:
If you are prompted to click on a link to "Verify" or "login" STOP and check that link. Simply hover the mouse on the text or button to reveal where they are trying to take you. In the example above notice how the link would take you to "service-infos.com" which is completely unrelated to Paypal.
3. DO SOME READING
Spammers take advantage of our global inability to pay attention to detail; we unconsciously validate information when we look familiar logos.
Honor your junior high grammar teacher's dream and notice language that you wouldn't expect from a professional. See the example above and watch for simple mistakes that simple don't look good with the context.
4. MIND ATTACHMENTS, scan them first
